New Year, New start. Whoops, guess I was a bit early. ;p

Written: Sunday, December 30th  (between 11pm and 12am).

Meanwhile in our story...

13 days of holiday.
Watch the superstitious go wild.

Well, I've been here for about 21/2 months now. Let's see.
Classes are going well, and I'm liking them. Worried a bit for next semester since I won't have classes with most of my friends. Which I have now. Friends. I've gotten something of a best friend here. She and I have nothing in common and we love it. We force each other to do things all the time. Like basketball for instance.

I'm now on the team.

Which will come to the surprise of any one who knew me at my old school. “Why” you might ask? Well, imagine that character that is very shy around people, that petite, bookish girl you see all the time and pay no heed to. Now, imagine her joining the basketball team. Can't imagine it? Exactly.

I also have a boyfriend. ;3 ♥ Really? Yes. Wow. I know. For how long? A month since Thursday. So soon?
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, all with your mouths gaping, I do. The term I have settled on to reason this would be: 'fresh meat'.

Also, for English class I'm supposed to have read a novel by January 3rd. That is in 4 MORE DAYS PEOPLE. And I am only 35% through. How do I know? I calculated based on chapters and their sizes. Why did I know? Because this book is so very, very boring. (I will leave it nameless because I would hate to be rude to anyone over my blog page.)
We even got to choose the book we wanted to read from a pile of almost 40. And I don't like mine. One of my very worst subjects is History and I chose one centered on that. Facepalm.

Then again, maybe the fact that I'm reading 7 books right now is the problem.

New Year's Eve tomorrow.  2013. I'm looking forward to how this year will compare with 2012. In truth, I don't know how 2013 could be any more hectic.
This is a good time for new starts. But ♥ I think I've gotten my share of them for a while. I'm happy with continuing my story in the falling action stage. As long as your happy, that's what matters isn't it? c:

♥ Happy New Year ladies and gents.

Physics

**Written: Monday, November 26th

Lobstering started today. The waters were now a mass of color. There were now boats, and people hard at work preparing for the upcoming season. The community came alive.
There's an excitement and delight in the air today which was not there last. It's one of those things that you don't know is missing until it hits you in the face.
Water, and seagulls, and faces. That's where I am.

Let's see, what else is happening?
Well, I'm almost completely caught up on school work. Just two more assignments to hand in. It's safe to say I've been on homework overload. Oh, and midterms have just passed. I was surprised by this; at my old school, the only exams we had were at the end of each semester, but here it's mid semester and end. Glad however, that at the end of my panic attack, I ended up with an 88% average. ♥ Physics since then, has been—as physics does—rapidly dropping. Honestly ladies, gentlemen, and Plague Rats, I wish I had not taken this course. 'Ignorance is Bliss' as they say. And now, ever since learning physics and forces and whatnot, I think about them at the most inconvenient times. Like, here I am going across the ferry...hmm, I wonder what minimum force would have to be applied to move the ferry across the water taking into consideration that it's moving against the current at a constant speed, making acceleration equal zero, and if Newton's laws are correct—and who am I to argue with a guy who had such fancy-looking hair—then F=ma and wait..that wouldn't be right. Acceleration is zero! Ah 'F' is net force. Okay, time to mentally draw a Free Body Diagram...

Most Simplistic and Awesome Free Body Diagram Ever.

Ahh, I see now. F=ma isn't even the right formula. Silly Isaac. It's actually that the minimum force needed to push the ferry against the current would have to be just a bit stronger than the force pushing in the opposite direction. But do we not need to be given the force of the current in order to solve this?...

This is usually where I come to realize I don't even have the mass of the ferry itself, so I give up on all things physics and look out at the pretty water. :3
School's been good. It starts around 9 am. Compared to my last school, I get to sleep in an extra hour and a half. My courses are all out of whack I guess because compared to where I used to live, the course requirements for graduation are severely different.

And now, this being 2 months into the semester, I have A LOT of catching up to do.

Thank God for Spare♥.

My family is adjusting well enough here. Parents are making great friends and seem to be enjoying themselves. My sister moved in with us, no comment there. ;p

And my pup of course is loving finding new places to lounge. She's found her favorite spot already, and during the day, the sun hits it perfectly.

This is one of those small towns you see on television where everyone knows everyone and word travels at lightning speed. I swear, these people knew we were moving in before we did. And everyone here seems to be related.
When we went to the school to make proper accommodations for my classes, the office secretary lead us to the guidance counsellor to settle my courses. As she walked out, he sighed and admitted she was his mother-in-law. Not only that, but that my Physics teacher is his wife.

This should be fun.

Actually Written: Thursday October 18th 2012, between 4 and 5 o'clock.

Salt water.

Salt water and seagulls, that's where I am.
Everywhere you go, people smile and wave. I find myself smiling all the time and always checking to make sure I am.
I want to get to know some of these people better, just so I can ask them if it's just an act.
I guess to sum it up, this place is nice.

I feel like I'm on constant vacation here. All I want to do is walk and write and draw and take pictures. Soon enough I'll be unbelievably fit. And by the end of the month I'll have masterpieces not even Shakespeare or Picasso could beat.

All the time I just want to walk and look at the beautiful scenery. Of course, I can't get my eyes off my journal to look at it for more than five seconds.

My phone is in my pocket. I feel terrible having one in a place like this. Like I'm gonna get caught.
But phew, no service.
My laptop is much the same. No one will see me with that out. And I mean that in all seriousness.
I'd better stop writing. Even in a place surrounded by water, I get lost looking for the beach.

...
Alright, maybe 'lost' was a bit of an overstatement. A would-be 10 minute walk turned into a 15 minute walk. Big deal.
So a 15 minute walk from my house followed by a hike through a bit of tall grass that may or may not contain snakes (because I'm a loser who refused to walk another 5 steps to find a trail), and a small climb up a rock and here I am. But by God was it worth it.

Maybe I can handle living here after all.

~P.S. Trail turned out to be a lie. My shoes are now soaked. </3

E.A.: The Spreading of the Plague

F.L.A.G. Album Cover
So much exciting news concerning the lovely Emilie Autumn!
Her new album F.L.A.G. (Fight Like A Girl) came out just a few months ago and, by my own opinion, is absolutely amazing. It is also the album that features her song 'Start Another Story'. The music just gets right under your skin. ♥
Novel Cover
I am also looking forward to reading her autobiographical novel: The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls. From what I can tell it is completely stunning. ♥ A few page excepts can also be viewed from the link above. Although it is her autobiographical novel, it is also mainly fiction. On her site it is listed under 'Autobiography, Fantasy, Psychology, and Art'. A few little leeches were whispering and I overheard that it may be coming out as a Broadway musical and later on as a film. :D
E.A. as Painted Doll
Even more, Emilie is playing a role as Painted Doll in the new The Devil's Carnival film. My own darling Painted Doll has a post remarking on this on her own blog page. You can see now why I refer to her as a Painted Doll. ♥ It's strangely fitting. For most of the time I've known her, she's done her make up beautifully and creatively. In her Outfit of the Day's you'll see what I mean. She and Emilie Autumn have even had an effect on me. ♥ Almost everyday I've had a little heart painted under my right eye and lately a bat under my left. Perhaps later on, I will post a photo. The heart refers mostly to E.A. I've read she has hearts over her as a symbol of protection. Her story is as equally intriguing to me as her music. To understand one, the plague rat must know the other. The bat is more of a personal reference. ;3 In memory of a friend back home.
Her Plague Rats must have their heads spinning!
So I suggest joining Emilie's Asylum Army and spreading her Plague. ♥
Finally here's a video of Emilie Autumn's Start Another Story posted by weepingwillow101.

Au revoir ♥

Once Upon a Time...

Once upon a time, perhaps in a land not so far away as you may think, there was a girl. She was average enough although we all have our quirks. She went to a decent school, did well in class, and had amazing friends she could always count on. This girl could have been anyone. But it wasn't.
It was me.
I'd say it seems like only yesterday that my parents and I up and moved, but of course, it really WAS just yesterday. I still haven't gotten used to the time change. It's just an hour difference, but haven't accepted it yet. The clocks around me and my laptop tell me one time, whereas my phone and other electronics tell me it's an hour earlier. Very, very confusing but I refuse to give in.
I suppose this is all terribly boring, as introductions usually are. Get to the point goddammit, no one cares.
Truth be told, I'm a writer who can't write very well. A quote keeps coming to mind from John Jerome's novel The Writing Trade. "I've always been much more interested in writing than in any of the subjects I was writing about". It's really more the idea of writing that pulls you in, rather than the actual message you're trying to get across. It's invigorating really, the feeling of actually getting something from mind to paper..or keyboard in this case. Doesn't even matter what it is as long as you're in the act of doing it.
Little Strawberry Charm
from my Painted Doll
I suppose this all explains the title for my blog. "Start Another Story". But really there's more to it than just writing. Friday was my last day at my old school and was full of goodbyes. I'm surprised I'm not out of tears by now, but I'm getting there. Saying goodbye to my 3 closest friends was the hardest part. My best friend, the little Painted Doll ♥, is actually the reason I'm even writing this blog. She says--and I quote-- "I want to stalk your life". She also has one of course, and I do indeed check it daily: ~Graveyard Tea Party~
At the end of the day, she came up to me and gave me a little charm. ♥ I have it on my necklace right now, and she has it's twin. They're strawberries because in Japanese, strawberry is called "ichigo" and it is also the name of a character in an anime she watches. Everytime I'd say Ichigo referring to the berry, it would upset her. X3 Also attached to it was a little piece of paper which I noticed later on, had writing on it.
"Start Another Story"
So much meaning behind such simple little words. It also referred to a song title from Emilie Autumn's new album F.L.A.G.. Both my Painted Doll and I are complete Plague Rats (as E.A. calls her fans). I look forward to spreading the plague at my new school next week and will continue discussing E.A. in another entry later on.
And finally, because I've made a promise to a friend saying I'd be finished writing this eternal entry soon, I suppose I'll leave the rest for another time. I'd hate to have him make fun of me and call me a liar. XD
♥ Au revoir.
